Dear Readers,

I’ve been doing what I love to do most: writing! I’ve updated my website and I’m excited to let you know what’s going on!

The draft of my third novel (working title "Habitual Sin") is almost complete — hooray! It’s such a great feeling to get to the point where the plot has been fleshed–out and it becomes a suspense–filled series of events. I really love the story and its characters, and I think you will too! I’ll spend the upcoming weeks refining the manuscript to insure that it’s an exciting read.

My goal for this novel is the same as with all my others, i.e., to keep you turning pages as fast as you can because you can’t wait to see what happens next! The way I accomplish this is to write the first draft as fast as my mind thinks it up, but then to go through an extensive editing phase. It’s during this stage that I examine the manuscript for superfluous storylines which don’t advance the plot. While polishing my first novel, A Prayer for the Devil, I eliminated almost one hundred pages before an editor ever saw the manuscript. Maybe this is why so many people have commented that they really enjoyed the tight story line and its thrilling chapters!

I’ve also just completed a comprehensive outline for the sequel to A Prayer for the Devil. Many of our favorite friends from the first book will be returning, along with a few new shady characters. The story begins at the Vatican in Rome, detours to the Middle East, and then quickly heads to back to the states. It will answer a lot of questions raised in the first book, e.g., Can miracle priest Fr. Luke Miller identify the mastermind behind the bombing in Boston that killed his twin brother? Will he remain obedient to his vows or does he succumb to his carnal desires? I promise answers to all of your questions! My plan is to have the sequel completed next year.

As mentioned in my last letter, I’ve received a few inquiries from Hollywood producers who may be interested in the story rights to A Prayer for the Devil. There has been a lot of reader feedback indicating that the book should be made into a movie, and it seems that the folks in Hollywood might agree! This is a slow process, but an exciting one. Stay tuned to find out what happens!

Before I get back to writing, I’d like to thank you very much for all your wonderful notes and for taking the time to provide your heartfelt feedback. Please know that I read each and every one of your emails and I’m so grateful to have you as my readers!

Regards,

Dale
